An easy day trip option from the capital Helsinki, Torronsuo swamp area offers beautiful but rough outdoor routes to explore.
Time to put on the sneakers and pack lunch in a backpack. In Torronsuo National Park, southern Finland, you can easily spend few hours exploring the site and enjoying lunch outdoors.
Best part of any trekking trip is eating. In Torronsuo, as in all of Finnish national parks there is campfire sites where you can heat up or cook your lunch. I’ve been in Torronsuo few times, but my favourite season is autumn when the colours turn more warm. You can see the difference between summer and autumn in the pictures.
Torronsuo is the deepest swamp in Finland but you can explore it safely by following the routes built over the marshland.
