In Galapagos: Beach day in Isla Santa Cruz

Sunbathing with Iguanas and exploring the white sand heaven called Tortuga Bay, in Isla Santa Cruz, Galapagos Islands.

A beach day in Galápagos because why not, everybody needs a little relaxation every now and then. Besides, you can find this marvelous long white-sand beach from Isla Santa Cruz called Tortuga Bay.

It was my longtime dream to travel to Galápagos. The place exceeded my wildest expectations and took a spot from my heart as one of my favorite destinations visited.

The road felt long under the burning sun. But in reality, what felt like a long suffering, ended up being about 20-minute walk. Rewarded with beautiful views and soft sand under our feet, we quickly forgot what we were ever complaining about.

You can kayak, snorkel, or even surf in here (locals do). Or just take a rest, dip in for a swim, watch wildlife and simply relax.

Pack your snacks (from the town market!) and go for a picnic. Be aware though, one cheeky iguana got really interested in our lunch and wanted to join. Remember everything you bring, also you have to carry back. Respect the nature.

The breathtaking scenery and the fearless animals really make it worth the visit.
